For our final presentation, I wanted to talk about the nationwide epidemic, COVID-19 or better known as Coronavirus. I made a presentation for the topic and question: How can epidemics be contained?
For our Civic Term class Music that Matters, We were given a task from a nonprofit organization called My Block, My Hood, My City to find an idea that will improve my neighborhood. Since I live near George Washington Park on 51st and King Drive, I feel like having a 30-foot slave owner hovering over the descendants of slaves needs improvement. We were also added music to boost the feeling of support for our block. We talked with many artists about protest and learned that art can create an opinion. I think that having this in action will not only affect my neighborhood but spark others to do the same. I think the hardest part was the video
Welcome to my first action project for Stories. In class we have been discussing creation stories and how they may influence us and how they were made back quite a while in the past. For this activity venture, we had the option to make our very own creation story. For our creation story, we needed to compose the cause of the start of something and how it was made. In class we even had a real storyteller come to our school to converse with us about how she makes her narratives and she helped us incredibly by giving us procedures we could use for our story. After the long astonishment by him and his new classmates, he spotted this meek little sheep who was trembling vigorously in fear. So Colton rushed over to see what was wrong with the quivering lamb. “Are you okay?” Colton questioned. The ball of fluff answered meekly “I-I’m nervous”. “It's ok,’’ Colton said, “We’ll make it through. Together.” “o-okay” squeaked the lamb. “I’m Colton, what’s your name” “I’m Ava.” Suddenly, they were silent when they hear...
